NEW HIPER TECH 3 PRO SET FOR CENTER STAGE AT INDY
New Pro Series Race Wheel to Display New Technology
LAWRENCE, Kan, February 10, 2010– The prototype HiPer Tech 3 Pro wheel will be shown at the Indy Dealer Expo beginning Saturday, February 13, 2010. The wheel is a hybrid design that incorporates both laminate composites and HiPer’s cast composite material.
The result is a stunning design that adds both stiffness and strength to the Tech 3 range, which is already the pinnacle of ATV wheels. The stiff laminate structure reduces the flex in the outer half of the wheel, allowing for more precise steering and cornering, while the core of the wheel remains unchanged to absorb harsh impacts.
The Tech 3 Pro is the first substantial redesign of the Tech 3 range since its debut over five years ago. An all-new manufacturing process has been developed to join the two composite materials with greater than 98% bonding. The Tech 3 Pro is still in prototype form.
